Canonical meta tag on viewquestions page

The page /viewquestions/ shows the same content as the home page. I want to put a Canonical meta tag on that page to point to the home page (domain root), how can I do this?

The 'viewquestions' is the default controller. Basically when you just viewing home page you are actually calling the 'viewquestions' controller.
As for canonical tag, I am not sure how this could be done currently.
Is this like an extra meta tag in the html header just for this one page?

yes. But you can put it also on the home page, which means that for the viewquestions controler, you should put a canonical tag that inside there is the domain root URL. I would also do this for every question page

Right now I can't think of a good way to do this, it may require an extra param/placeholder in template so that extra meta tag can be added to page.
